09:10-10:00: Morning I, overview of QC platforms.

10:00-10:20: Coffee break

10:20-11:00: Morning II, introduction to Quantum Error Correction (QEC)

11:00-12:30: Interactive session

— Lunch, 12:30-14:00 —

14:00-15:00: Afternoon I, computation on QEC (lattice surgery, magic states, etc.)

15:00-15:20: Coffee break

15:20-15:50: Afternoon II, applications (chemistry, factoring, etc.)

15:50-17:00: Interactive session

Organizers

Jason D. Chadwick is a second-year PhD student at the University of Chicago. He develops low-level quantum software optimizations to enable large-scale fault-tolerant quantum computation.

Siddharth Dangwal is a third year PhD student at the University of Chicago. His interests lie in quantum error mitigation and error correction.

Christopher Kang is a second-year PhD student at the University of Chicago. His research interests focus on quantum architectures for Hamiltonian simulation.

Gokul Subramanian Ravi is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Division of the EECS Department at the University of Michigan.

Lennart Maximilian Seifert is a third-year Computer Science PhD student at the University of Chicago under the guidance of Professor Fred Chong. Since the beginning of his PhD he has mostly been studying quantum optimal control techniques for different qubit technologies.

Joshua Viszlai is a fourth-year PhD student at the University of Chicago. His research addresses architectures for fault-tolerant quantum computing in the context of existing quantum systems.

Fred Chong is the Seymour Goodman Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago and the Chief Scientist for Quantum Software at Infleqtion.
